I believe it was turning off the traction control. If so, I must be a race car driver.

From the still frame of the video plugin, I thought he was letting a faster car pass on a racetrack. That would have been snarky.
But its just some hoonage. Now I want to go hoon my NC, which looks just like the dude's here.

Don't forget to fully turn off the Traction Control like he did by pressing the DTC button for more than 5 seconds.

I will actually admit that I didn't know that. I thought the one yellow light was it. I'll try holding it today. There is a huge difference between one light and no lights, curious the difference between one and two.

The NC just feels freed up. The issue with just turning off the DTC is that it makes the car hard to control during powerslides and drifts. Racers even said that it's better to either race with the DTC on or with everything off and not with the DTC off only. Some NCs racers spin out with DTC off only.
Once you do the full TCS off trick, it will be so easy to control that you'll be laughing from all the confidence you'll get while hooning your NC.

It's much better than mine! Mine looks kinda cheap but nothing that aftermarket parts can't fix.

Cool! I never noticed because I actively try not to break traction. I even moved up to 235 wide tires to help that, and it grips like crazy.

I've moved to 225. The car feels a bit sluggish since I switched them, but it's much more comfy. Still on 17's?

Yup! PFo1 SS from Good-Win. 17x9 with 235/45/17. Ohlins and racing beat help out with handling as well. I thought it lost some pep from the bigger rollers, too. This year I'm doing full chassis mods. Next year comes power. To be honest, I'm not even concerned about touching the engine yet. Its all stock right now, and I think its enough. I'm not a speed demon and don't get my jollies going as fast down on-ramps. It just drives sooooo well right now. I love how quiet it is.

That red strip across it makes it so much better than it would be with out it.

Finally! Someone else that understand that the power is adequate! Seriously, even on the highway, I get enough acceleration for my taste at all gears.
Since I'm driving it all year long, I can't put coilovers. I heard winter temps breaks them (a pro race driver told me this). Right now, my concern is to get RX8 sways and refresh the suspension, better brakes and intake. If I had the money, I'd 2.5 swap it and call it a day power wise. It would be a reliable torquey solution.
Mine is not quiet. I got a Magnaflow exhaust on because of the ex owner.

I agree, well I just love it when it fits with the exterior paint!

I can see how the changing viscosity in the dampeners might hurt an aluminum-bodied shock if it got real cold. I live in Wisconsin. I am also storing the car for 'those' months.
A suspension refresh and RX8 sways sounds like the ticket for some fun on the street. I'd also like an intake, if just to get rid of the ISE. It covers the knob for the dampening adjuster and its stupid. Basically, I want to keep dominating STR like I did this year. Thats the goal.

This is why its more fun to drive a slower car.....no fun having a fast car if you can't let the piss out once in a while.

An autocross class for roadsters. Limited modifications allowed. Suspension, tires, intake and exhaust is about it.

Yea...NAs and NCs don't stand a chance. What other roadsters takes part of the class? Could you swap the 2.0 for a 2.5 and get away with it?

In my local run group, its not too steep of competition. I run with four other Miatas - two NBs, an NA and an NC, a BMX Z3, a Solstice and a vert RX-7. It changes from event to event though. The Miatas are the quickest of the group because they take it the most seriously and are talented as drivers.
